Anyone recognize this beautiful little girl?
For those of you who don't know her - that's the totally, ridiculously charming Emme Lu from The Singing Bird. Our family had the significant pleasure of hosting Emme and her mama these past few days. And as Spike (Or "Bike" as Emme Lu signs for him) said, "Mom, Emme Lu is the CUTEST baby in the world!" (And I like her mama a lot, too).
Spike and Emme were crazy about each other. It tore my heart up a little to watch them together. I so wish this family lived closer to ours.
Spike got to practice being a big brother. Emme got to play with all of Spike's old toys. I got to stay up late and drink tea and wine and talk with a friend and a Mother Who Thinks, and I got a little taste of what it will be like having two children in this house.
I can't wait.

I'm speechless. Always, so much. It really seems I can't handle much in life, eh? The thing is, this is all such Big Life.

On a link from Small Hands, "All buttoned Up" she adopted a baby boy. Within 48 hours they flew from OREGON to Florida because their son was born: August. Overnight, practically, they were a family of four! I love all of this!
